Volunteerism is described as using own free will regardless of benefit knowledge, time, skills, experiences and resources with the understanding of social responsibility of individuals, in accordance with the purpose of a non-governmental organization.Voluntary service is willingly participation of a person without forcing, in other words, in the dictionary sense is free will (voluntary). We want you to participate in this extensive organization changing the countenance of Erzurum, bringing to light the hidden beauty of our charming Turkey and that truly is a once in a lifetime experience and a chance gotten one’s hands on throughout his/her life. We are looking for volunteers, whose sense of social and individual responsibility and communication skill is high , who are strong- willed, sharing, well-disciplined, carrying team spirit, reconciliatory , not to look after his/her benefit, performing his/her duties without getting bored, adaptable to different cultures , open- minded, researcher, implementing criticism and self-criticism mechanism , kind and who are able to demonstrate our hospitality to the world. |
Rights and Responsibilities of Volunteers
-The volunteer candidate can make a choice from any of the services on the list indicated on the form.
-The volunteer will be assigned to any of the duties of his/her selection.
-The volunteer can determine the upper limits of working hours.
-The volunteer management can not expect any overtime work besides his/her regularly set duty hours.
Food-Beverages
The volunteer working full-time in the central venues will be given meal tickets; the ones working far from the venues will be given lunch- boxes. Also, the ones working part time will be given beverages.
Health
Each volunteer will be insured with personal accident insurance in cases of injuries occuring during the Games time.
Transportation
The volunteer will benefit from the means of transportation or scheduled buses or public transportation vehicles provided by our transportation commission and their city transportation cards will be installed.
Uniform
The volunteer will wear the appropriate Universiade 2011 uniform during the Games. These uniforms will be distributed by the Volunteer Management Office against signature of the volunteer and will be kept by the volunteer as a token after the Games.
Roles and Responsibilities of Volunteers
-The volunteer is obliged to attend the trainings necessitated by his/her area of involvement during the Winter Games period and the rehearsals held in September.
-The volunteer is the one pledging performing his/her duties in accordance with the procedures with high internal motivation.
-The volunteer can choose to take part in the events during the Games or just before and after the Games.
Solution Offers of Volunteers
-The volunteer try to find solutions by contacting with his/her volunteer manager when he/she has any criticism.
-The volunteer will perform his/her works in accordance with the planned and announced workflow.
-The volunteer acquaint the volunteer administrator with the subjects that he/she observed any reduced productivity during the works as the owner of the duties.
