06.02.2011-2011 ERZURUM MEDIA- 2011 General Coordinator made a general assessment about the 25th World University Winter Games which will end today. The executing of the organization was carried out in the matters of competitions, referees, press members, spectators, guests, health and other services as follows;
2 Thousand 700 Athletes
In the games which were held in a total of 11 branches; Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Ice Hockey, Curling, Ski Jumping, Cross Country, Nordic Combined, Snowboard, Freestyle Skiing, Figure Skating and Short Track, 2 thousand 483 participants took place, of which 1 thousand 593 are sportspeople and 844 are officials from 52 countries. This number of participants is the highest in the history of Winter Games. Turkey took place in the games with a total of 150 athletes, of which 69 are female and the rest is male athletes.
696 Referees and Technical Personnel
116 foreign and 580 Turkish referees and technical personnel took place in the games.
286 Journalists
Sixty of which are international members of press and the rest is national members of press. Apart from that, 180 personnel came from abroad with the company that undertook the responsibility of outside broadcasting. Inside broadcasting was undertook by TRT with 220 personnels.
170 Thousand Spectators
Twenty thousand spectators attended to the Ski Jumping competitions in total for two days of the week. 13 thousand tickets was sold for the opening ceremony. All of the tickets for the closing ceremony has been sold. The capacity of the stadium where the ceremonies take place is 22 thousand and the predicted number of total numbers of spectators is 170 thousand.
2 Thousand 400 VIP
133 people from FISU attended to the games from the day of the opening ceremony. Apart from that FISU have 58 guests. Foreing ambassadors, businessmen and with other guests, a total of 2 thousand 400 VIP guests were hosted.

57 Ice Hockey Competitions, 22 Curling Competitions, 4 Free Style Skiing Competitions, 17 Short Track Speed Skating Competitions, 4 Ski Jumping Competition, 14 Alpine Skiing Competitions, 9 Biathlon Competitions, 11 Cross Country Competitions, 13 Snowboard Competitions and 11 Figure Skating Competitions, in other words totally 168 competitions were held.
7 ATHLETES GOT INJURED
2 athletes received treatment in Erzurum Training and Research Hospital. 5 more athletes have also received treatment. Health Services has 85 doctors 220 medical personnel, 20 ambulances, health team with 60 personnel from 20 different countries and 15 rescue crews. More than 130 people went to Athlete’s Village Polyclinic.
441 personnel, 2200 volunteers, 360 attaches and 3450 security personnel works in 2011 General Coordination and totally 8500 people work for the opening and closing ceremonies.
1400 GUESTS
7 hotels, 2 dormitories and 4 teacherages were reserved for the members of press, FISU Board of Management, Judges and technical delagates. 1400 were hosted. 3000 athletes stayed in the Athletes’ Village that has 11 blocks and 1252 rooms.
735 MILLION TURKISH LIRAS
81 million 914 thousand 400 liras for Konaklı, 19 million 128 thousand liras for Kandilli, 49 million 138 thousand liras for ice rinks, 57 million 100 thousand liras for jumping venues, 26 million 200 thousand liras for opening and closing ceremony was spent.
Also 47 million 421 thousand 558 tl was spend for other needs. In total the expeneses reached to 600 million tl.

The main sponsor was Türk Telekom, transportation sponsor was Turkish Airlines, telecommunication sponsor was Avea and other sponsors were Spor Toto, National Lottery, Ziraat Bankası, PTT, Coca-Cola, Doyumsu, Çay-Kur, İstikbal, Intersport and Colins.
Advertisements Worth of 5.5 Million TL
Sportsnet took on the advertisement and public relations of the organization. The company made an expense of 3.5 Million TL and a total of 5.5 Million TL was made with the other local works, published books and other culture and art activities.
