Magnificent Closing Ceremony for 25th WU 

25th World University Winter Games will  end with a fantastic closing ceremony. 

 

06.02.2011 – ERZURUM 2011 MEDIA – The 25th WU, which is the first winter sports organization held in Turkey opened with a magnificent opening ceremony to which the President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül, Speaker of Turkish Grand National Assembly Mehmet Ali Şahin, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of FISU George E. Killian and 25 thousand audiences attended.
In the end of the 11 day journey the games will come to an end with a majestic closing ceremony in which The Flood and Noah’s Ark reaching to the Mount Ararat is going to be performed by the Anatolian Fire Dance group. There is going to a passage read from The Flood and then what happened after the flood will be depicted. In the show, the participant countries will make their entrance to the stadium through the rainbow silhouette and each and every one of the column in the rainbow will represent each of the continent. At the end of the night there is going to be a concert by a famous Turkish singer Kıraç and the introduction of Maribor, Slovenia will be made as they are goint to host the 26th WU in 2013.
