05.02.2011-ERZURUM 2011 MEDIA- Speaking after the visit Polat, who is a native of Erzurum, stated that they could not have dreamed about hosting such an organization in Erzurum and added that it is the largest investment in Erzurum of the past 20-30 years. Polat who highlighted that 25th WU has brought Erzurum a new vision and new lifestyle stated “Erzurum has become a tourism center in every season thanks to 25th WU. I would like to extend my thanks to everyone who contributed to this organization. The infrastructure of sportsmen will change with the help of venues. I talked with the President of Youth and Sports Affairs Yunus Akgül and State Minister Responsible of Youth and Sports about this issue and they work on it.” Polat who stated that the venues will be in use, added that with more foreign teams camping in Erzurum, the city will develop its international conception. Polat also added “ The venues will used by both Europe and Middle East. Erzurum will develop in economically and socially thanks to these veneus.” Polat stresses that they had come to Erzurum in order to present the games and they attended to opening ceremony added “I do not want to leave our State Minister alone in the tomorrow’s closing ceremony.”
