Exhibition at Ataturk House Museum 

The exhibitions held in various parts of the city center by the Art and Culture Committee attract the attention of the visitors  

 

03.01.2011 – ERZURUM 2011 MEDIA – The Ataturk Portraits and Anatolian Architecture Painting Exhibition held by Art and Culture Committee of 2011 World University Winter Games General Coordination attracted great interest.
The exhibition at Ataturk House Museum, which includes the pieces from the time when Mustafa Kemal Atatürk came to Erzurum in 1919 to hold the Erzurum Congress and stayed in Erzurum for 53 days, consists of 11 Portraits of Atatürk by Cemal Akyıldız and 16 pieces of architecture monuments.
The visitors give close attention to the exhibition which is held on the first floor of Atatürk’s house and they also take a tour of the upper floors where Atatürk’s room, bureau and the personal properties of the members of congress are placed.
The volunteers of 2011 Universiade who went to the exhibition put carnations on Atatürk’s bed and stood in silence.
Museum authorities pointed out that there has been an increase in the numbers of visitors since the 2011 Winter Games have started.
