Gold medal goes to Ukraine in biathlon. 

Ukrainian biathlon player Artem Pryma won the gold medal in men’s biathlon sprint 10 km.  

01.02.2011 - ERZURUM 2011 MEDIA – On the 6th day of the 25 th WU, men’s biathlon sprint 10 km ended with the victory of Ukraine while Turkish athlete Orhan Gazi Cıvıl took the 31th rank and his compatriots Uğur Akman, Müjdat Boz, Recep Efe and Ekrem Yıldırım became 33th, 37th, 38th and 42th, respectively.

Only 48 of the 51 athletes were able to see the finish. Ukrainian Artem Pryma won the gold medal with 28:25,3 and his compatriot Sergeii Semenov won the silver with 28:31,7 while Evgeniy Garanichev of Romania got the bronze with 28:38,9. At the end of the competition President of Turkish University Sports Federation Prof. Dr. Kemal Tamer gave bouquets of flowers to the medalists at the congratulations ceremony. The medal ceremony will be held at the Double Minaret Madrasah.
