We were also very much impressed by the highest level participation from government authorities. The village is great. This is the one of the best universiade villages ever. Quality of the rooms and the food is great. Restaurant is perfect. At the beginning we experienced some problems with the transportation. But now there are now overcome and everything runs well.”
BIGGER INVESTMENTS FOR THE OLYMPICS
“As for winter olympics, the question is not only if you are able or not. The question is if it will bring something more to this region or not. Because the investment for the winter olympics will be much bigger and the facilities must be of much higher capacity. Your jumping towers are perfect, most of the facilities are okay, but this is not enough for winter olympics.” continued Saintrond. Also praising the spectators and television coverage, Eric Saintrond said, “All delegations are happy. The spectators in Erzurum are unbelievable. In the last three days in ski jumping we had 20,000 spectators. Representatives of many federations who came here are quite impressed. It is also great to see that the games have so much coverage on television. I am very impressed myself, because we have never had such large number of hours of live coverage. Also the picture quality is very good.
