FISU President George Killian went to the javelin field that is close to the Athlete’s village. Killian who rided on sleigh and watched javelin competition posed for the cameras with a javelin. Killian replied to journalist’s question “Are you going to ride a horse?” as “If I were young I would try riding.”
The Citizens of Erzurum should be proud
Killian watched the competition lasted 30 minutes with Presindent of Turkish University Sports Federation Kemal Tamer and President of Turkish Traditional Sport Branches Federation Fatih İstanbulluoğlu and showed great care to the children that ran up to him. Killian stated that there is not any problem in 25th WU and added that the citizens of Erzurum shoul be proud of the organization. Killian who expressed his happiness to watch the javelin competiton added “ If I were young I would try javelin throwing. We are pleased and proud of the games’ process.”
