24.01.2011 – ERZURUM 2011 MEDIA – The public concerts organized by Erzurum 2011 General Coordinator’s Office continues at its full swing. The local people in Erzurum have a musical feast thanks to the concerts organized in the city where enthusiasm is at a peak just before the opening of the games.
At the concert titled, “Musical Peak at the Peak of Anatolia”, organized by Erzurum 2011 General Coordinator’s Office, İbrahim Erkal and Murat Yıldız, who are popular singers of fantasy music, performed for their fans. The singer’s fans, who packed Cemal Gürsel Covered Sports Hall, first had much fun listening to Murat Yıldız, who performed before Erkan. İbrahim Erkal, who took the stage after Yıldız, amid slogans and applause of thousands of local people, had a reunion with his fellow countrymen in his 2 hour concert in which he performed his own compositions. The concert was also attended by Bekir Korkmaz, Erzurum 2011 General Coordinator, as well as the committee chairmen and directors, who are involved in the organization. Following the concert, Bekir Korkmaz, Erzurum 2011 General Coordinator, presented plates to İbrahim Erkal and Murat Yıldız, which had a logo of 2011 Winter Games on them and were made of a local type of stone called ‘Oltu’.
