Excitement continues at Nordic Combined...  

Ski jumping towers, which were constructed for the 25th Universiade Winter Games , hosted FIS Continental Cup Competitions. 

19.12.2010-Firts etape of FIS ( Fédération Internationale de Ski ) Continental Cup Nordic Combined Competitions are completed. 29 athletes from 9 countries attended at Nordic Combined competitions which is consisted of Ski Jumping and Cross-Country races.

 

Ski Jumping competitions, which is one of the stages of Nordic Combined, carried out early in the morning at Kiremitliktepe region which has Turkey’s first and Europe’s highest ski jumping towers. Ski jumping competitions which the athletes attended from were Austria, France, Germany, Ukraine, Finland, Russia, Slovekia, Czech Republic and Italia took great interest from the audience.

Second round of the games,Cross-Country competitions were carried out at the ring beside Cemal Gürsel Stadium. Ales Vodsedalek from Czech Republic ranked  first place in ski jump and Cross-Country. Ranking of other athletes are: German Stefanel Tepez and French Geoffrey Lafarge.

Second round of the games will continue with the competitions which will be held this morning.
