18.12.2010-ERZURUM 2011 MEDIA- National Skier Faik Yüksel,performed first time from Europe’s highest ski-jumping towers built for 25th WU. 16 year old Yüksel,titles his name on the history of Turkish sports jumping from the towers which is the most expensive facility with the cost of about 57 million TL.

Yüksel, stated that he has started his ski-jumping career 4 years ago and expressed his happiness of Erzurum which will be hosting the WU games.He also stated that he has performed ski-jumping in Poland,Slovenia,Austria and Germany before.’’I felt very excited when I climbed on top of the jumping tower.My friends and my family was waiting at the tribune to watch me jumping.I was very excited.This is a very different feeling.The only think I heard after I completed my jumping was the cheering and the applause.’’

I oftengoabroad for my trainings saysthe nationalski-jumpingathlete Yüksel.My most recent visit was in January 2010 to Germany- Hinterzarten.’’I have conducted ski-jumping in a lot of countries.There is no similar jumping tower like ours.When you climb the ramp to jump you are able to see the entire city.From now on I dont need to travel far for my trainings.I’d like to thank everyone for building these towers.’’
