03.09.2010-ERZURUM MEDIA- Europe's highest peaks and most challenging course with climbing Mountain Ağrı, the traditional home to make the climb was brought to victory. Mountaineering Federation of Turkey brought victory by becoming a tradition every year to climb up this year of 80 climbers from 16 countries participated. International Week of August 30 Victory Traditional Climbing Opening and Closing Ceremonies Director, Kenan Sebin along with the mountain climbers participated in the summit and gathered under the banner of FISU.
Climbing Lasted For Three Days
Romania, Greece, Iran, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Bulgaria, including the 80 climbers from 16 countries have participated at three days of tough climbing to Ağrı Mountain.
Mountaineering Federation of Turkey headed by Alaattin Karaca Mountaineers stepped-up, 5137 meters at the end of the third day reached the summit of Ağrı Mountain.
2011 General Coordination and FISU flag which was opened at the peak mounteers have taken pictures and signed on the flag as a souvenir.
Climbers Will Meet Again At Erzurum 2011
Kenan Şebin who made a statement said that’’It was my first time climbing at Ağrı Mountain.My aim was to raise awareness of 2011 WU.
I have also informed the climbers about the venues.We have decided to meet back again during the games.I was really happy with their interests.Lastly I’d like to thank on behalf of the 2011 General Coordination President ofMountaineering Federation of Turkey Alaattin Karaca and his team,also the photographer İmran Uzun and health officer Erkan Okanlı.
