17.06.2010 - ERZURUM 2011 MEDYA- All the procedures for GMS; Timing-Scoring and Result system which will be used during 2011 games has been completed.
IT & Broadcasting Dirctor Mehmet Özdemir stated that ,’’All the groups that will participate for the games, the entire process especially accreditation can be done from their countries’’he said.
17 IT MODULE WİLL BE USED
9 of the modules which is going to be used during the games will be delivered in a month.The other 8 of them will be ready for use in October.Firstly the modules are going to be used for such important units as accreditation, transportation, call center, hotels and games village.
Disaster management to be used within these systems will be established in Erzurum and Ankara identical redundant systems to work. Possible so that any problems can be encountered will not affect the organization. And software modules to be used for staff training as well ,''will continue these trainings throughout the games’’ he said.
WE’LL COLLECT ALL ATHLETES INFORMATION
The information systems of all athletes who will participate in the games will take place to express their knowledge, stated Mehmet Ozdemir, by doing this we’ll have an early idea of the athletes personal detail, health issues and food preferences.We are aiming to complete without having any problems throughout the games.
TEST EVENTS WİLL TAKE PLACE
IT&Communication Director Uğur Kılıç, giving information about Time-Scoring and Result Systems said that the bidding process related to the systems have been completed in June 8th. Timing and Results Systems will be made at the Olympic level and also to make sure that the information is precise we’ll use the electronic and computer-based technologies. There will also result Onsite System; competition management, results, Gateway, Scoreboard, TV module consisting of graphics and Commentator Information .
Delivery of equipment, installation, training and integration of the Games Management Systems will be completed and delivered on January 20th. 'The system will be determined by the federation before the games with two test events. With this system records that could be broken during the games will be determined instantly. Moreover, the distribution of medals and results will be transferred onto the internet and it will be conducted through this system.
